Community Garden
Dig In! Steps to Starting a Community Garden will take place Jan. 21, 1:30 – 4 p.m. at Mesa Main Library, 64 E. First Street. If you are interested in starting a community garden, but aren’t sure where to begin, this program is designed to teach you how to get a garden up and growing. Experienced community gardener, Doreen Pollack will provide a brief presentation, and will facilitate a discussion with other community garden members and the audience. The iMesa Community Garden initiative will also be discussed. This program is part of the free Living Green Workshop Series: Earth-Friendly Advice for Home & Garden sponsored by the Environmental & Sustainability Division and City of Mesa Library. Mesa Citizen Police Academy to begin in February
The Mesa Police Department’s next Citizen Police Academy is scheduled to begin on February 15th and will graduate on April 25, 2012. Classes are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at various police department facilities. Range day will be held on a Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. (date to be determined).
